Believe it or not, Marlee is 2 weeks old now! So far, she's the perfect little baby! She's been sleeping most of the time, so it makes it easy to get everything done. Even at night, she sleeps for a good 4 hour stretch. Jessica and Rachel just love her to pieces. I haven't noticed any jealousy or any change in their behavior yet.
Mornings are the hardest part of the day. I have to get myself out of bed and ready in time to get Marlee dressed and fed in time to get Jessica and Rachel dressed and fed!! There's a lot of getting dressed and fed going on in the am! There's also a lot of hair brushing going on in the am! Can't wait until Jessica takes care of her own hair. Good thing Bob can take care of himself!!
The other thing I'm struggling with is making sure I'm where I need to be to get everyone where they need to be. Jessica to/from the bus . . . Rachel to/from school . . . after school events . . . Kids Club on Wed - -It's a lot to keep track of. I'm not used to watching the clock at work, but at home I have to make sure I know what time it is at all times! I've set alarms on my cell phone to make sure I remember things!
We're looking forward to Mom-Mom's visit at the end of this week too. Wanda is visiting us from FL! The girls are extremely excited to see her too!! Look out Wanda - - Hope you're up for this!!
Jessica is signed up for TBall this spring! Bob brought home her TBall pants - which are black! I knew the moment she saw them, she would say 'No Way - I'm not wearing them'!! Guess what, she said, - 'No Way'!! If they aren't pink or some other girly color, she will refuse to wear them. Plus, they are pants and not a dress or skirt, so these pants don't stand much of a chance! I hope she is peer pressured into wearing them! We'll see!
We attended our friend Kathleen's birthday party over the weekend. She held it at the Roll-R-Way in York. This was our first attempt at roller skating in a rink. We've only actually skated in the driveway with fisher price skates. This was a challenge. By the end of the party, Jessica was actually doing it! I was so proud of her, because during the first 10 minutes, all she could say was, I can't do it!! Now she's ready to go back everyday to keep practicing! It's a shame we don't have a rink close by. It brought back great memories of Kim and I skating in the basement of the barn and at Fit-N-Fun in Shrewsbury!! Bring on the pink silky coats!! Those were the days!
